Conditions for 2012
For horses born 2004 Onwards.
The Breeders Crown will be run for 2yo, 3yo, 4yo & aged horses with each group divided into two separate sections of colts & fillies where there are sufficient numbers. If the numbers are insufficient to stage heats, all entries will automatically go through to the final. To be held at York Raceway on 4th & 5th August. Conducted under BHRC rules.
Eligibility.
Horses to be bred in the UK & Ireland by natural means or A.I. by stallions registered with the Breeders Crown UK & Ireland. All entry & sustaining fees must be paid by due dates to Breeders Crown UK & Ireland to remain eligible.
As from 2011, foals born from 2011 onwards in the UK or Ireland by non-nominated stallions may be supplemented.
About / 2012 Fees & Race Details
Foal and yearling payments have now been amalgamated to a single yearling payment of £40 due 28th February.
2 yo Sustaining Fee no.1: £50 due 28th February (for ALL 2yo's to remain eligible to race in all age categories provided all other sustaining fees are made up to date).
2yo Sustaining Fee no2: £50 due 31st May (for 2yo's intending to race).
2yo Race Fee: £100 due 2 weeks prior to race date.
3yo Sustaining Fee no.1: £50 due 28th February
3yo Sustaining Fee no.2: £100 due 31st May (for 3yo's intending to race).
3yo Race Fee: £100 due 2 weeks prior to race date.
4yo Sustaining Fee no.1: £50 due 28th February
4yo Sustaining Fee no.2: £100 due 31st May (for 4yo's intending to race).
4yo Race Fe: £100 due 2 weeks prior to race date.
Aged Horses Sustaining Fee no.1: £50 due 28th February (eligible to race providing up to 2yo sustaining fee has been paid and all other sustaining fees are made up to date).
Aged Horses Sustaining Fee no.2: £100 due 31st May
Aged Horses Race Fee: £100 due 2 weeks prior to race date.

Horses may be supplemented up to 31st May as follows:
2yo £200
3yo £300
4yo £350
Supplementary fee for foals/yearlings by non-nominated stallions standing in the UK or Ireland: £250 extra.
Supplementary fee for foals/yearlings by non-nominated stallions standing outside UK or Ireland, provided they are born in UK or Ireland: £500 extra
Race Information: Open to ‘A' class & (‘B' Class Drivers with special permission)
The race is over one mile & all races will be limited to 10 horses. All horses must have qualified by close of entry. All horses ballot for postition in the heats and in the finals the five fastest will ballot for position on the gate & the remainder will ballot for position on the 2nd line.
Where there is a final only situation, all horses will ballot for postion. For heats to take place, there must be more than 10 runners. Draw to be announced prior to racing.

In the event a trainer/driver has more than one horse in the same division where there are 2 heats to be run, horses will be split into sperate heats where possible.
All trophies must be signed for, as damaged or non-returned trophies will be charged a replacement fee to the value of £350.

Breeders Crown UK & Ireland reserve the right to cancel the series at any time, & to make any alterations or amendments to the conditions that it considers necessary to improve the series & may be necessary for the proper conduct of the Breeders Crown.
In the event of cancellations due to circumstances outwith the Breeders Crown control, all sustaining fees and race fees for the current year will be refunded.
In any dispute the decision of the promoter (Breeders UK and Ireland) will be final.
